Southern Sugaring

Why Should You Choose (Southern) Sugaring?

SUGARING IS...

100% Natural:

Sugar paste is so natural you can eat it! It's literally just sugar, lemon, and water. Unlike waxing theres absolutely no chemicals or weird ingredients you don’t understand or can’t pronounce involved. It’s also really great for those with sensitive skin. Because sugar is more of a mild exfoliant it can be used on people who suffer from eczema and psoriasis.

It Lasts Longer:

Sugar is water-soluble making it easy to soak in the skin and fill the hair follicle. It wraps around the hair and when the sugar is flicked off it completely removes the hair at the root. Waxing on the other hand often snaps the hair off at the surface which leads it to grow in much faster.

It Thins the Hair:

With each sugaring appointment the hair will become thinner and finer. Over time, frequent sugaring can cause the hair to become damaged enough (in a good way) to stop growing hair in that follicle.

It Hurts Less:

While sugaring isn’t completely pain-free it is much less painful than waxing. Because sugar is 100% water soluble there’s no risk of damaging or staining clothes, and most importantly no damage to your skin! Sugar paste is room temperature when applied to the skin so theres no risk of burning. It is applied in the opposite direction of hair growth and removed in the direction of growth. The main reason waxing is so painful is because the wax sticks to the skin and the hair its removing. So essentially with waxing your skin is literally being ripped off (OUCH!).

Sugaring has many advantages over waxing. All natural, longer lasting, reduces hair over time and is less painful. Set up an appointment with me to try it out!
