This smoothie is a staple of my morning routine. It is also the bane of my husband’s existence because it turns my mouth completely green, but it’s so delicious and GOOD I just try to keep conversation to a minimum while I’m drinking it. The healthy fats in it tide me over through my morning workout, and I get a healthy dose of veggies to start my day.
- 1/2 avocado
- Frozen blueberries
I fill my small Ninja blender cup with a couple inches of water, then stuff it to the top with organic spinach. Then I add a teaspoon of spirulina (a seaweed superfood full of protein and energy) and pour my vitamin capsules into the cup too. Blend well.
Spoon half an avocado (fiber, healthy fats, sustainable energy) into the mix, then add frozen blueberries (mmm – antioxidants!) to the top. Blend well again and enjoy.
My Green Teeth Smoothie has a ton of benefits for just under 250 calories, and the creaminess makes it feel indulgent. Or maybe I’m just crazy. It is green, after all. But I swear, I have so much energy after I drink it that my morning doesn’t feel complete without it anymore!
